The new regulations regarding small unmanned aircraft in UK airspace has opened doors for many flights that were previously only possible under exemptions and authorisations, especially with lighter aircraft. The Mini 2 is a fantastic tool that I am delighted to add to the toolbox.

Being under 250g, the new DJI Mini 2 falls into the A1 category, meaning I can fly it with very few restrictions. Aerial real-estate photography and roof inspections will be much easier to plan now with very little separation requirements from people not under my control.

It passed it’s test flight today with flying colours and will be brought into service for a filming job in a congested area tomorrow.
