The new regulations regarding small unmanned aircraft in UK airspace has opened doors for many flights that were previously only possible under exemptions and authorisations, especially with lighter aircraft. The Mini 2 is a fantastic tool that I am delighted to add to the toolbox.
I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Andy, one of the volunteers keeping Magpie Mill beautiful and safe. As much as the branding suggests that this operation is one man and his drone, many missions have huge involvement from a lot of other parties – observers, camera operators, marshals etc. Let me explain with a few examples.
